Council Member Cohen has met with a multitude of neighborhood civic groups, local businesses, and faith organizations that represent the Montrose community to discuss the potential for a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) for Montrose. Based on the community's input, a proposal has been crafted that will facilitate road repairs and other infrastructure improvements for this neighborhood without raising taxes.
To ensure the affected community has an opportunity to learn more about this proposal and how it will impact their neighborhoods, Council Member Cohen is hosting a public meeting next week:
PUBLIC MEETING: MONTROSE TIRZ PROPOSAL
- When: Thursday, November 12, 2015
- Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
- Where: West Gray Metropolitan Multi-Service Center at 1475 West Gray Street
This proposal is expected to appear on the Council agenda before the end of the year and our input is critical to inform Council Member Cohen's vote.
